Word export → processor → copy back

The processor is plain text. Word is styled text. Line breaks survive the round trip when you paste as text, confirm the Diff, and paste back with Keep Text Only. They fail when Word dumps one block or when you paste over a loaded template.

Not legal advice. Language tool only. Styles, captions, and court margins stay your job in Word after Copy.

What usually goes wrong

  • One-block paste — Word copies a table or text box as a single paragraph. Input shows no blank lines.
  • Paste over a template — catalog line breaks disappear under the Word blob. See loading templates.
  • Paste back with source formatting — Word re-applies hidden styles and can re-wrap the QPSG lines.
  • Skip Diff — you copy without checking that numbered facts still sit on their own lines.

Before (collapsed Word paste)

FOR THE NOTICE IS WITH THE FACTS: ~1: NAME: [YOUR-FULL-NAME]. ~2: DATE: JANUARY 15, 2025. ~3: DEMAND IS WITH THE CLERK.

After (breaks kept, then copy)

FOR THE NOTICE IS WITH THE FACTS:

	~1: NAME: [YOUR-FULL-NAME].

	~2: DATE: ~15~JANUARY~2025~.

~3: DEMAND IS WITH THE CLERK.

How to run it

  1. In Word: Select the body (not the whole styled header table if you can avoid it). Copy.
  2. In the processor: Click Input. Paste. If everything is one line, put the blank lines back before ANALYZE — the engine keeps the breaks you give it.
  3. ANALYZE. Open Diff. Count the fact lines. If the After column merged them, fix Input and re-analyze.
  4. PREVIEW-CORRECTIONS. The preview box is read-only; line breaks there should match Diff.
  5. Subscribe to Accept-all and Copy when you need the work product. Copy is plain text.
  6. Back in Word: Paste → Keep Text Only (or Match Destination Formatting). Then re-apply your caption font if the court form needs it.

Long documents: Operational FULL-DOC-CORRECT is the format-preserved full pass. The free trial is 800 words — split a long Word file into sections, or upgrade. Educational ($18) unlocks Accept-all and Copy at 2,000 words. Operational ($50) is 12,000 words and FULL-DOC.
